From Airport


You will most likely arrive at Roissy-Charles De Gaulle Airport, located 24 kms NE of the center of Paris so no matter which method of transportation you use, count 30 minutes to one hour to reach the city center. Below are verious methods of transportation from the airport into the city.

1. TAXI – most convenient and well worth the money!
Cost: 35- 55 euros, depending on destination, traffic, quantity of luggage, time of day
Helpful info:

  • Don’t be discouraged by the length of the line, it moves fast
  • If the driver doesn’t understand you, show him your needed address written
  • Tipping is not required but 1 to 2 euros can be a nice gesture

2. RER – a mix of Paris subway and regional rail lines – the cheapest!
Cost: 8,40 euros for adult and 5,90 euros for child
Helpful info:

  • You will take line “B”
  • In the airport look for the signs “Paris by train” or ask a “friendly” Parisian
  • Keep your ticket with you because you will need it to get out
  • Several stops are available in the center (see map here)

3. “ROISSYBUS” - bus going directly to Paris Opéra district in the 8th arrondissement
Cost: 8, 90 euros
Helpful info:

  • This bus stops at CDG Terminal 1 Door 32
  • Tickets can be purchased at the bus stop vending machine or from the ticket window or from the driver
  • Departures from CDG to Opera 6:00 -23:00
  • Departures from Opera to CDG 5:45 -23:00

4. “LES CARS AIR FRANCE” – bus operated by Air France. You will need lines 2 and 4
Cost: 15 euros
Helpful info:

  • These buses stop at Terminal 1 Door 34, at Terminal 2B Door 6, 2D Door 6, and 2E Door 3 and 2F Door 3
  • Line 2 stops at Porte Maillot then Arc de Triomphe/Charles de Gaulle Etoile
  • Line 4 stops at Gare Montparnasse then Gare de Lyon
