GALERIE NATIONALE DU JEU DE PAUME
Exhibition space dedicated to photography and contemporary art. Located inside the Tuileries Gardens, the 19th century building previously housed a practice hall for a french game called jeu de paume, a percursor to modern tennis, but in 2004 has been reopened as a museum.
Traveling exhibitions like those in 2008 of Lee Miller and Richard Avedon have been shown there.
The gallery offers one the opportunity to see great art but not be overwhelmed by large quanities of pieces. Free guided tours are avaiable for anyone with an entry ticket.
