Described by many of the regulars as one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Paris, this small upscale place is where one can taste fresh traditional dishes on beautiful china, starch white tablecloths served by mature professional waitstaff & supervised by Marie who runs the place. This place is not trendy, the customer age bracket is older than younger and that is just as well.

Thu Thu is the name of the woman who originally opened this small family restaurant serving flavorful vietnamese dishes. Since her retirement it has been taken over by another family and Thu Thu is now one of the guests. Her legacy remains and consists of classic dishes like bo bun, rolls or laquered duck made with fresh spices like mint and lemongrass. The ambience is simple and the restaurant itself is small so better call in advance and reserve. The service is pleasant and efficient. For about 20 euros one can have a starter, main course and a drink a la carte.

Paris Hanoi is one of Paris staples for vietnamese cuisine. Lines form as soon as the doors open because this tiny family restaurant does not take reservations but does offer fairly fast service. Atmosphere inside is relaxed, familial and extremely cosy. The smells from the kitchen take over and suddenly one wants to order everything on the menu. When in doubt, start with spring rolls and then take the beef bobun – the magic mix of fresh veggies, marinated meat, and noodles will not disappoint.
